Siem Reap means: Siam=Thai
Reap= Flat.
Siem invaded Cambodia and ruled in the Angkor time. Cambodian fight back until the Siem lost flat to the ground.
Thats why the Cambodian called it Siem Reap.

The spoke with accent just like the Cambodian guy try to speak the Black accent.

Min S'nom Soh.=Its not cool at all.
S'nom Main=Its cool, thats cool.
S'nom dol hai n'ter=Very cool indeed.
S'nom Nah Vey=Its just that cool, Its so cool

I think its cool= Khñom kit tha vea S'nom.

I don''t think its cool. Khñom kit tha vea min S'nom.

sorsocheth@yahoo.com for more S'nom stuffs.

hey, interesting blog you have.

I just suddenly thought of this cambodian guy whom I met when I was in NZ. Its kind of a strange situation, maybe just cultural differences.

But anyway, I read your post "How much do foreigners know about Cambodia?", and to be honest, from what my friend told me, I thought it was a dangerous place to visit. Hehe.

Can't blame me though, he was telling me all about the guns and the gangsters, and the army and how they aren't that keen on foreigners and what not...yips..

That was then of course, am planning to make a trip up soon.
