Snake, snake, what could an encounter with this deadly creature possibly bring any good luck? Well in Cambodia, impossible is nothing, at least in a dream. When a girl is getting chased by a snake in a dream, according to a popular Khmer belief or rather a myth, the time has come for the girl to meet her Prince Charming.

Not sure whether this applies to guys as well, but if it’s true, I would have met no less than 10 Princesses Charming. For guys it’s more like (see text). ‘Coz not only I often got chased by a snake in dreams, but also several times I got bitten to a pulp…a nightmare so to say.

But as the saying goes, “One man’s hell could be another man’s heaven“. As such my snake nightmare could be a fortune for some other people. How could it possible? Impossible is nothing, remember? Those people are (guess-what) Lottery Punters. It’s almost like a Cambodian urban legend that punters find different ways to get the lotto numbers including deriving from dreams…duh. There’re even books on how to deduct lotto numbers from dreams.

While we’re at it… why not try to deduct from my last snake dream for the sake of it. All right… there was one snake about one meter long (1 and 1). The snake chased and bit me on my right elbow… Elbow in Khmer is Keng which also means Right Angle. Right Angle is 90 degrees (90). Am I not wrong?

So ladies and gentlemen, according to my dream, the upcoming lotto number would be a combination of the numbers 1, 1 and 90. Wait, this sounds super loplop stupid, isn’t it?
