Went to Takeo the other year to do some community works at a couple of high schools there. Just dug up some old pictures and found this one which was captured with me and two school kids on one of the first days at Chea Sim high school. Care to guess what happened? You have 5 options to guess as below. Only one is correct.

1. little girls approached me and asked for my distinctive-yet-easy-to-copy autograph,
2. little girls asked me to solve some maths and physics problems which obviously I couldn’t do (’coz they were too easy),
3. little girls were curious about the community work we’d do, so I drew up and explained the work plan,
4. I saw a pretty girl selling food at the school canteen, the evil me asked the two little girls to deliver a message I wrote to her,
5. I was asking the girls about the map of Takeo province. I drew some parts of the map I had known and asked them to draw the rest for me.
If you guess it right at first try, hmmm…..shall I treat you to a dinner if we happen to meet? Considering that I’m charging real money for those who smile or laugh after reading my posts…it’s making business sense to invest those money back.

It sounds inspiring about the community work in Takeo. The two girls and you look very happy.
Just to see how accuracy is my guessing, i guess it is option 1.
Oh, tell more about what you do there and what was the project about : )

option 5’s possible though none of them convince me. i guess rather you were trying to draw some nice pic or do some caligraphy for them. btw, i just have a small smile only; should not be chargeable.

Hey, I did laugh alot since I got your post(from friend), oh god! how much are you gonna charge me? I guess the first one is right.if we happen to meet I’ll buy you dinner, anyway we are close, I am too from Siem Reap.

>:) the evil me also made you cry, is it not wrong? Alright I owe you this.
Sokly, nothing much, but I may post later about the community works there.
Phoumirak: yes it’s chargeable, just a small grin also chargeable although not as expensive as a smile or laugh.
BunLeap: nice to hear from people from siem reap. How did your friend get to know my blog? He/she must be someone who knows me, right? anyway, I look forward to the dinner if we happen to me.

>:) no answer yet…there’re still 2 options that no one choose yet. But make sure you’re always prepared for dinner, in case.
NETH: you’re still be charged.
Bunleap: don’t think that many people know me. Maybe they know my blog, but not me.
Virukruth: so it’s you…thanks for visiting and your complement. Btw, I don’t know why my blog appeared there.
Panha: nice try, how did I miss on that possibility. It should’ve been option 6.
November 21st, 2006 at 4:25 am
Oh! yeah they know your blog, hey, the other 2 no one choose cos they are not the right one. Virukruth, are you ……0808, right?

Hmm it’s not usual for cambodian to ask for someone’s autograph, so that rules out option 1. You wouldn’t be sovling maths holding book in that manner, that rules out option 2. Hmm i know you wouldn’t ask a girl to deliver a message to another girl. That rules out option 4. So i left with 2…hmm i think it’s 3. I don’t think you know how to draw part of Takeo’s map…hahaha

Ah, that’s a very good questionner…
but m not a very good answerer.. so would prefer not to answer. Good Luck!

Why are there 5 options only? There should be another one: 6. (other) _____________
November 24th, 2006 at 9:29 pm
BORORT: thanks for visiting.
SINGACHEA: option 6: the girls ask for my phone number…what ya say?
ME: very impressive logics. I expected nothing less from a PhD candidate. Let’s see if you’re right.
I’ll post the answer by the end of this weekend. If anyone wish to change the answer, please do so.

I don’t think the girls were curious about the community work, so the option 1 is still in my mind, as the book is so colourful, maybe just a kind of souvenir book, beside, to ask for s/o’s autograph in Cambodia NOW is not strange at all, especially from the handsome, cute POO like you Vireak.
November 25th, 2006 at 9:06 am
Me said “Hmm it’s not usual for cambodian to ask for someone’s autograph”. Society changes. Who knows, being a Cambodian cool guy doing a community service in Takeo, Vireak is definitely an idol and sure there’s many fans
, am I right?
November 25th, 2006 at 1:23 pm
Haha yeah maybe you’re right. Society changes but I don’t think it changes that fast. Ok maybe it’s common now in the city, but in Takeo? I don’t think so.
November 25th, 2006 at 9:49 pm
ME: Ok maybe it’s common now in the city, but in Takeo?
I had lived in Phnom Penh for 18+ years, but I knew the places and society less than those from Provinces did.
