It came to my attention that as far tourism is concerned, each country has come with unique slogan to promote its country image which I think is a very effective way to portrait a country image in the eyes of tourists. Here are some of them:
Malaysia, truely Asia!
Incredible India.
South Korea, Seoul far, so good!
Uniquely Singapore.
Amazing Thailand.
Wow! Philiphines!
Laos, the land of a thousand million elephants.
Cambodia?
Never heard of anything yet. So how about some of these slogans?
Wonderful Cambodia!
Cambodia, the golden land (as in Sovannaphum).
Cambodia,
theland of a thousand wonders.Cambodia,
theland of wonders.
or how about this: Cool, Calm and Collected Cambodia.
I guess there must be some other great ideas about the slogans. So what you do think?

if you live in cambodia, you don’t go to vietnam for the slappers… it’s expensive and uptight.

I never heard “Cambodia, land of wonders/temples,” but I am used to hearing “Cambodia, the land of mines.” Too bad, isn’t it?

>frank….well frankly, I don’t understand what you mean.
>singachea: you’re right, we never heard of such sentences. But the idea here was to ask around to find out which slogan best describes Cambodia. So that’s why there a number of proposed slogans.
thanks guys from your wonderful comments

I love Cambodia, the Land of Wonders though.
By the way, as I remember, the Ministry of Tourism once introduced a slogan, “Cambodia, a World of Treasures.”

The correct nickname of for Laos is Lane Xang or land of a million elephants, not a thousand.

Thanks Sopheaktr for confirming. It really makes me look like a blind guy not to notice this slogan as I go in and out of Siem Reap every year. I believe, we need better publicity about tourism at home and in international media.

[...] In a similar vein, Vireak wonders why Cambodia doesn’t have a slogan like most other popular tourists destinations — Malaysia, truly Asia; Amazing Thailand, etc. [...]

The new and official slogan of tourism for the Kingdom of Cambodia is “Cambodia: World of Wonder”. I like this one very much.

I see an ad on BBC. For Cambodia, the slogan is “Kingdom of Wonder”. Anyway, it doesnt matter now, is it? My reply is just 3 years late from the first post.
